Thanksgiving
November 25, 2009
The holiday starts now. Have a good Thanksgiving everybody.

The folks over at Mossless were kind enough to offer an interview. The email interview format is nice because you can have your girlfriend look over your grammar.
Mossless is the blog complement to the biannual magazine of the same name.

Playing around with images that hint at the economic times. These three photos made in New Haven, Connecticut and Memphis, Tennessee.
It would seem that the economy would be cliche subject matter these days, but I have not seen very much work that provides an artfully satisfying look at the financial situation.

A nice piece at the Walker Art Center. See above for details.
The Walker has such a great photography book selection. Me = drooling.

The holidays are coming up so I’ve been busy making some things for friends and family.

Paris and I spent a few days in Minneapolis. We are “city shopping”. It’s like trying to find the right pair of jeans. Minneapolis scores 99% on our criteria checklist. The only thing keeping the city from 100% is its proximity to other cities.
I am in the process of applying to four MFA programs; Yale, Cornell, Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD) and Columbia Chicago. Next week I am visiting New Haven.
Exciting times.

Florian Maier-Aichen’s name has been all over the internet for the past several months. Below you will find a link to an Art:21 video about his work.

Florian Maier-Aichen’s portion of the Art:21 video begins at approximately 27:45.
