Bon Voyage Plymouth Voyager

As some of you already know, Paris and I successfully sold our beloved 1992 Plymouth Voyager late last week.

For us it is truly an end of an era. In the future, we will undoubtedly refer to our past with a pre- and post-voyager chronological system. Generally speaking, the early years of our relationship will be synonymous with the “Plymouth Years”.

Good times were certainly had by many in that old van. Though it’ll be missed, we believe the new owner will drive it for many years to come.

I took a jaunt down into the Loop today in order to make some photographs of an attorney for that same attorney’s website.

I got a new camera, the Canon 5D Mark ii, and let me reaffirm what everybody already knows…

THIS CAMERA RULES!!!

So yeah, I’ve got tons of new photos to post and they’ll find their way here, there, or over to FLICKR or whatever, but I just wanted to post this photo of me holding a piece of paper in front of my face as a sort of gift to the white balancing gods or something like that. I’ll still be shooting film time and again, but for quick day to day shooting and making portraits of attorneys, I’ll be taking out the 5D.

I heard a guy say the other day that photography is the art of purchasing camera equipment without being thrown out of the house by your wife. Pretty funny stuff I think.
